2006- Got lost in London

fter work from St Georges London yesterday, i rush my way back to my hotel and fetch rodz. We want to use the ‘late nite thursday’ for shopping as much as we can. It was 630 wen i arrived so we went out to oxford st as soon as we can. We also went to woolworth in edgware rd and i got some nice things for my new apartment back in brunei. We bought a small luggage coz i need it for my manchester trip this afternoon (hopefully i could get in time. *cross fingers*). We put almost all of our shopping bag inside it (its too full..hehe..byk wah brg ah). i think we were in a rush becoz it was our last day shopping together in london, and we don’t want to regret every minute. For dinner, we ate ayam merah, sambal taruk and rodz wana eat satay. but we didn’t finish them all..hehe.

After dinner at mawar, we went to bayswater to buy more stuff. the guys in there were teasing us. they are nice but they asked too many questions. i keep quiet a lot so they turn to my fren n teased her until she blushed. It was nice though but i was hoping they would give us further discounts on the stuffs.

Now, after magrib prayer, we want to go to hard rock cafe. it was kind of scary when we got off on the wrong bus stop. we had to walk a long way before reaching there. i got myself a lovely t-shirt. Rods was guiding me back to the bus station that was suppose to go towards lancester gate. However, we went out to the wrong tunnel and got lost. It was scary coz we have to run to chase a crowed of people who were dissapearing right ahead of us and we dont want to be alone. we eventually found our way back after a few bus ride. at first, i was not able to laugh myself out at the incident. but as the time pass on, i am at ease and laugh all the way through about it. it was an overwelming experience for me.

Hopefully, our trip to manchester gona be good tonite and won’t be disturb by the memorial of the 7th july bombing later.

2006- Haj

Just came back from Haj. It was an amazing experience for me. It feels like yesterday i was dragged behind a ‘body-tsunami’. Terrifying actually. There is one time when my mother was pulled behind so many people, everybody was trying to get out of the small valley. Everyone is trying to safe their own family. I guess they just didn’t see my mother being pulled and trying to catch her breath (yes, breathing is difficult when you are fully surrounded by people closely covering you) Thank goodness I saw her hand and manage to pull her. Well one indonesian guy helped us. Ya Allah, panjangkanlah umur kedia. There in the holy land, the only people that we see are Asian, Arabian and Westerners. So no matter you are Indonesian, Malaysian, Chinese or Bruneian, these are the people who are willing to help you than others. You will learn to appreciate them in Brunei. If you are there, you will be welcomed by them in the tight space of praying mattress, or in the drinking fountain or around the Ka’abah. I remembered when me and my family went to the Ka’abah, the Azan time, we went to this huge space to pray. But unfortunately, this Arabic people forced us to leave saying that we have women, and they don’t want women paying in front of them. And more unfortunately, most of the space were taken up already, but this Chinese/Asian people, give us a few space just right for three family to pray. I cried that day. While praying…I still cried now thinking about it.

2007- KL Trip

Yes, yes yes…. at last me and my sister got our first trip together. KL was fantastic! We didn’t use the taxi due to a scary experience at the airport taxi. He wanted to bring us out for coffee! At 1.30 am! Scary. We keep on saying no, no, NO but he insisted! Thank goodness he didn’t forced us.

Anyway, we managed to go on tour the next day and got to find out where we is the best shopping place. We found out that it is just behind Melia Hotel, our hotel!. On the tour, we went for this chocolate factory. Hmm.. yummy….so many types of chocolate. Wish I bought more. I don’t remember the name of the places that we go but I do remember we go to the Padang merdeka, the ‘Liberty statue” (is it?) and the famous KLCC. The tour guide, ie the driver (offered by the Melia Hotel) is quite nice and gave us a map of the train and how to get here.

The bad thing is, I finish my money in just one day. The good thing is, we had so much fun just being together. Siooook…..

2007- Bangkok trip.

I have no idea I could save this much money and go for a trip to bangkok this year after my trip to KL. And I sponsored my little sister. Amazing, and I just got enough for my trip to Australia in 2 months.

Century Travel was suppose to arrange our trip to Bangkok, but they forgot to arrange our transport to our hotel. We paid the fu@#$%g 70 dollar per person for the trip to and fro to the airport and its gone because of the careless agency. Never trust them. Im telling YOU. I was so angry that i think it spoils my second trip to Bangkok. Me, Rods and my sister (Amoi) went for the day tour and we went to see castle and stuff. Not my taste plang, but is seems to be the taste of Rodz. My sister and I have fun taking pictures. We stayed in First hotel and I swear I will not stay in this hotel ever again. They were so rude and the room are so stuffy.

The good thing about Bangkok is that the shopping experience were great. We went to weekend chatuchak market (great bargain), Pratunam (ok lah..but there seems really reluctant to bargain) and MBK (Sioooooook…)

2007- Brisbane Holiday

I flew to brisbane for a holiday. For the first time I feel like a holiday for a very long time. I know I went to KL and Bangkok this year, but it is not the same. This trip, I feel like I am not the responsible one to plan my trip, I am not the responsible one to protect my safety and my family, and I don;t have to worry if I have brought enough money for the taxi to airport. I feel like I am on the moon… I didn’t have to run to catch a bus, I didn’t have to check the schedule of the train. We just go and have the good time of our life. Didn’t care what time it is.

I ate all my favourite food while I stayed in Brisbane and went to Movie world and Australian Zoo. I feel refresh. Many other places that we went but let it end here…

The Mayonnaise Jar & 2 Cups of Coffee
When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and the 2 cups of coffee .

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, he wordlessly picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students respon ded with an unanimous ‘yes.’

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.

‘Now,’ said the professor as the laughter subsided, ‘I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things—your family, your children, your health, your friends and your favorite passions—and if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house and your car.

The sand is everything else—the small stuff. ‘If you put the sand into the jar first,’ he continued, ‘there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff you will never have room for the things that are important to you.
‘Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.. Spend time with your children. Spend time with your parents.. Visit with grandparents. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your spouse out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal. Take care of the golf balls first—the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.’

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented. The professor smiled and said, ‘I’m glad you asked.’

The coffee just shows you that no matter how full your life may seem, there’s always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend.’

This movie is disgustingly GOOD…

I went to the cinema with my sister and family today. We have to book the ticket 2 days before as it sold out very fast. And they gave the same pricing for kids! They really know how to get more money on a blockbuster movie huh..

The movie start out quite interesting and the stunt were great. Some spoilers- they really promoting the different chinese kungfu here. No wonder both the great master of kungfu join together in this film. We can see the drunken master, mantis stance, tiger stance and some more.

I haven’t watch this kind of kungfu eversince Jet Li’s previous kungfu movie. I love Jackie Chan and combine with Jet Li, it is a must to watch.

Here’s one of the youtube
